2026 Exhibition and Public ProgramTo mark the closing of the current FSH site and the transition to the new FSH site in the East Meadow, we are developing an exhibition that includes large scale artwork, installations, artifacts, photography, maps, and archival research. We are also planning an accompanying public program that includes dinners, walks, musical performances, and possibly the creation of a time capsule!

Building a Community VisionIn 2026, FSH will shift to the East Meadow. What will this move be like? What kind of community do we seek to form at this new location? What lessons and ideas do we want to bring with us from our current location?
We are developing a community vision for the transition and for the new site that addresses basic concerns such as traffic safety, amenities, vegetation, and community resources. The visioning process is also a chance for us to influence long-range planning and develop, as we imagine how the new FSH might be better connected to nearby communities, or shape the identity of the main entrance to the UCSC campus.

We are a community of scholars, writers, artists, educators, and do-ers. We celebrate our diverse capacities and interests through creative projects that serve the community in different ways. We integrate creative activities into our community celebrations, to enliven our organizing, and to express ourselves and to bring richness and beauty into our shared spaces. We also create useful resources, such as a Welcome Packet with which we greet and support each incoming FSH household.
